October Boxycharm
You all know how much I adore my Boxycharm deliveries! I truly think this is the best beauty subscription I have tried. Typically, you get five full-sized products every month for only $21- it's a steal! This month's box theme is 'After Dark'.
Dose of Colors Eyeshadow Palette in Marvelous Mauves $32
Ok, this is hands down the best thing in this month's box! I have been eyeing these palettes for years but never found it in me to pay $32 for five shadows. So, when I saw this in my box I literally yelped with joy! This palette is gorgeous! First of all, this packaging?! The mauve-pink mirrored packaging is breathtaking; the mirror on the inside is a great size; and, it comes with a brush! The shades in the palette are obviously star of the show here and for good reason. In the palette you will find: a lighter pink shade I would use all over the lid or in my inner corner, a soft rose shade perfect for a transition crease, a deep - almost purple - rose, a true mauve perfect for smoking it out, and finally, a deep purple-brown that will really make green and hazel eyes pop!
Jonteblu Lip Liner Pencil in Dark Natural $5
In the packaging this looks to be a pretty rose-mauve shade but when applied it has a bit more brown that I was expecting. I still think this will be stunning for the fall if you're one who likes this sort of warmth on the lip but, I have to be honest, I am not sure I am one of those people. We shall see!
Steve Laurant Jelly Highlighter in Prosecco Please $26
This doesn't have that classic jelly feel we typically see when something is advertised this way. But, this shade is absolutely beautiful as it shows true gold but swatches with a bit of a rose-gold shift. While this would be a perfect eyeshadow shade for me, I will not get the use out of it I should if I keep it around. So, watch out, friends; this one is yours!
Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in Lovestruck $26
This lippie is a stunning nude-pink-peach shade that is perfect for everyday wear. While it says it is plumping, it does not have a strong menthol scent that some other plumping lippies have. It also isn't too sticky and give a stunning sheen to the lips. It definitely give them that juicey look you want with a gloss.
This is a beautiful product! I have used this a handful of times now and my skin always looks glossy after application. My one concern is that it may be breaking me out...I need to test it a bit more but if that is the case then I will have to give this guy away to one of my friends to try. Be warned, this has almost a sunscreen smell so if you're not a fan of that you may not like it. I don't think it's too overpowering but something to consider if you're sensitive to scents.
This month's box has me totally in awe! I truly think this box was worth it for the DOC Palette alone. I mean, come on! It's so beautiful, great quality, beautifully packaged and will make my eyes look greener...what's not to love?!
